Marleta Poffenberger DVM
Marleta Poffenberger, DVM – Originally from Maryland - attended University of Maryland and Virginia – Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine – moved to Washington, N.C. upon graduation from vet school in 1985 and began her career at Pamlico Animal Hospital – has been sole owner of practice since 2006 – is married and has two sons and a daughter.
Dana Eddings DVM
Dana Eddings, DVM – Born in Washington, N.C. and grew up in a military family, living in many different places – graduated from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B. A. in Political Science – served in U.S. Marine Corp. between 1970 – 1973, attaining the rank of captain – attended N.C. State University, receiving a degree in Zoology – attended Auburn University where he received his DVM degree – owner of Pamlico Animal Hospital from 1981 until 2006 – continues to work part time – is married and has two sons, a daughter, two grandsons and three granddaughters.
Inken Van Cura DVM
Inken Van Cura, DVM – Born in Germany – grew up in Connecticut – received a B.S. degree in Art Education from the University of Pennsylvania and a M.S. in Special Education from the college of New Rochelle / New York – received her DVM degree from Purdue University – at Purdue she started the student chapter of the Vet. Emergency and Critical Care Society – received the Morris Foundation award for her “recognition of the human/animal bond” -- the HSUS awarded her a certificate of appreciation for her work with displaced animals in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina - she is married and has a son and a daughter.
Amy Martin DVM
Amy Martin, DVM - Born and raised in Washington, North Carolina. She received her BS in Animal Science from North Carolina State University in 2005, and her DVM from Texas A&M University in 2009. After veterinary school, she returned to Eastern North Carolina. Dr. Martin was an equine vet with Greenville Mobile Equine Service for three years. She joined Pamlico Animal Hospital in 2012. Dr. Martin and her husband enjoy spending time with their two horses, three dogs, and three cats.
